Shepherd - Medium - Young - Male - Dog - Fido*UPDATE*

Fido is a very special dog to us at the shelter! He was caught as a stray puppy around a year and a half ago. He has peircing golden brown eyes and the softest coat of hair. He has sinced remained at the shelter. Let me stress that he has NO aggression with anything, from food to kids, people, and he LOVES his doggy friends. This is why he needs to be with other dogs, especially leader dogs. The closest he will come to us is if we have a treat and he will put his two front paws on your tummy. **UPDATE** Fido is now walking on a leash because of a wonderful volunteer dedicated to rehabilitating him. This is a milstone for him and we are so proud of him :) Iif you try to pet him, he will run away, unless you have a treat. Fido is very near and dear to us and we felt that we will just let him live out his life at the shelter, However, we are noticing that he is a little depressed with all of the other dogs coming and going. His only confidence comes from being with another dog. He doesn't dig or try to get out of the fences, because this is the only home he knows. With that all being said, he will NEED these requirements in order to adopt him: a fenced in yard (no electric fences, leads or chains); proper shelter and flea/tick control, and monthly heartgard. The latter is very important for any dog living outside. **UPDATE 3/29** Fido is now allowing others to pet him while he is on the leash.
